They say that it is really in a woman’s nature to be quite (for lack of a more fitting word) obsessed with beauty. Be it for her face, her body, for the husband and kids, you name it; moms are always on the lookout for new ideas and schemes to try. Of course, the household is not exempt. And when it comes to beautifying, redecorating and major home improvement, the backyard is a mother’s biggest canvass.

For the moms who fall guilty of the mentioned pleasure/obsession- here are some general backyard revamp ideas that are sure to tickle your creativity:

Create a theme. Most base the themes by the season; make the set-up of your yard adapt to the season and not only will it look freshened up and well-maintained, you will also find it easier to think of stuff to spruce up your designs- season and weather are not exactly mind-boggling bases for themes. More flamboyant themes include foreign themes like Bohemian, Zen, Hawaiian/beach… etc.

Listen to your kids. F your kids demand to have a little play ground, why not give it to them? The image of a yard full of happy children is always a great beautifier. Hang a hammock in the shade, you’ll get to relax while watching the kids.

Make a centerpiece. This is a more permanent move. Most people opt with making fountains or water holes and small ponds while some set-up a grotto.
